A company with no online presence at all isn't necessarily bad, but verified reviews add a meaningful layer of confidence.

Red Flags to Avoid

Be cautious of: unsolicited door-knockers claiming to have 'just been working nearby' and spotted a problem with your roof; anyone demanding full cash payment upfront; quotes significantly lower than others without explanation; contractors who can't provide proof of insurance; and high-pressure tactics to sign or pay on the spot.
